Donna Dumke, 77, of 509 Pelham St. in Iron Mountain, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
She was born May 9, 1933 in Laona, WI daughter of the late Raymond and Emmy (Verdon) Brooks. Donna married Howard Dumke on March 3, 1954 in Laona and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2007. She was employed at Freeman’s Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide from 1965 to 1978. Donna then worked for a few years as a secretary for Town Disposal/Great American Disposal. For the last 23 years she has owned and operated Tri-City Cab. Donna was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and loved Brett Favre. She enjoyed cooking, making crafts/flower, watching Packer Football, tennis, and Drum & Bugle Competitions. Most of all, Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, her dog, Bitsy and her cat, Toy.

She is survived by 11 children, Kathy (Henry) Patrick, Howard Dumke, Lori (Dale) Baldwin, Tim Dumke, Vicki Wojdyla, Jim Dumke, Tommi Sue (Terry) Quick, Heidi (Mark) Lehto, Bill Dumke, Rebecca (Aaron) Trager and Chris Dumke; a brother, Lawrence Brooks of McColl, SC; a sister, Shirley Johnson of Milwaukee; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Esther Dumke of Lake Wales, FL; a special sister-in-law, Lois Barnes of Eagle River, WI; 24 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; special family friend, Dan Anderson; a special son, Jeff Brisson; and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Georgia Stapleton of Shawano, WI.

Donna was also preceded in death by an infant son, Lawrence Robert Dumke; a grandson, Jeremy J. Dumke; a brother, LaVerne Brooks and a special son, Jay Walsh.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. Jim Danielson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Laona Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
