SPREAD EAGLE, Wis. - E. Patricia Quandt, 57, of Spread Eagle, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at her home.

She was born March 15, 1950, in Hancock, daughter of the late Harry and Erdine (Brown) Carlson. Pat graduated from Chassell High School in 1968.

She graduated from Michigan Technological University (MTU) with honors in 1972 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration-accounting. She was a member of the Kappa Sigma Iota Accounting Club and the Copper Scroll Honor Society.

She married Stephen M. Quandt on July 28, 1973, in Houghton. She worked for Tony Ozanich, CPA and 41 Lumber.

She was a member of the Tuesday Study Club, PEO Chapter EN, Pine Grove County Club, the Chippewa Club, and a member and past officer of GFWC Patricia was a leader, trainer, and area manager for the Peninsula Waters Girl Scout Council.

She also served on their Clear Lake "Summer Thing" staff. Pat was a former member of the American Association of University Women and volunteer at Marquette Whitman Elementary School.

Pat enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music, playing the piano, writing, painting, sewing, needlework, and quilting. She was also an avid photographer. Pat's philosophy was God first, family and friends second, and community third.

Pat is survived by her husband, Stephen; a son, David (Joy) Quandt of Iron Mountain; a daughter, Carol Quandt of Detroit; one step-grandson, Race Elliott and a special family friend, Paul St. Hillarie of Washington, D.C.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Michael Carlson.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home. PEO services will be held at 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dickinson County Cancer Unit.

A private burial will be in the Chassell Cemetery.
